In fact, Next Tool is built upon the foundation of the former tooling assets of Alken Ziegler Tool Company and its predecessors, namely Form Flow, L&H Die and Micanol. During the recession of the late 2000's, many of the assets of Alken Ziegler Tool Company were purchased by SMW Manufacturing with the goal of ensuring that the associates remained employed and critical machine tools would be retained. These tooling assets were purchased from SMW and have been re-established, along with the core associates as an independent tool company in Next Tool, LLC.
