The Next Step Foundation is a 501(c)3 foundation that uses the power of technology and cutting-edge curricula to upskill individuals from underserved communities—including youth, women and Persons with Disabilities—to take the next step toward sustainable livelihoods and economic independence. Our work is an outgrowth of the philanthropic efforts of Sally and Scott Harrison, the founders of Cure International. Launched in 1998, Cure builds and operates pediatric hospitals around the world. Next Step Foundation achieves its mission by deploying its proprietary R.A.A.T.T. Method: Recruit, Assess, Accommodate, Train, and Transition. Using this specialized approach we: (1) Recruit individuals from our most vulnerable communities (2) Assess for unique challenges and strengths (3) Accommodate each individual so they are capable of successfully completing training (4) match with appropriate curriculum and Train (5) Transition to employment providing mentorship for support
