Nexdot was founded in 2010 by Maurice Guillou (former Deputy General Manager of Spie Batignolles) and Benoit Dubertret (Research Director at CNRS), with the aim of developing industrial applications in France based on Benoit Dubertret's fundamental research on quantum dots. Over the past 14 years, Nexdot, whose laboratory and pilot lines are based in Romainville, has filed more than 40 patent families and successfully explored several application fields of these nanocrystals.
