Newtown School is a co-educational secondary boarding school situated in Waterford City. Serving day and boarding students from Ireland and abroad, the school was founded in 1798 by the Religious Society of Friends and is the oldest Quaker school in Ireland. The school is unique in the fact that Quaker education is not only concerned with examination results, but with experiences that are not measurable, the discovery of true self, nurturing confidence, independence and respect.
