NEWPORT is a value-add real estate investor. We strive to find unique locations where we are able to implement successful concepts into world class architecture. Our long-term investment horizons allow us to make lasting, positive impact to the urban built environments we work in. We are a private, independent company that invests primarily in Europe and the USA through our subsidiaries in Atlanta, Berlin and Zug. Since its foundation, NEWPORT has invested its own capital and has managed the capital of a growing group of private and institutional partners across three currencies. All investments have always successfully resulted in double-digit IRR performance or meet their short, medium and long-term distribution targets respectively. NEWPORT was founded in 2004 in Hamburg, Germany by Manfred Schoenbach and Olaf Kunkat. Initially focused in the German market, NEWPORT expanded into the Swiss market in 2008 with the creation of the subsidiary NEWPORT RE AG, led by partner and board member, André Herzog. In 2016 NEWPORT was looking to add a third currency to its investment portfolio and opened the US subsidiary NEWPORT RE LP in Atlanta. Today NEWPORT employs a talented and diverse group of employees from six nations speaking German, English and French.
