NewForce by Generation West Virginia, in partnership with MountWest Community and Technical College, is a remote, six-month, full-time, tuition-free, software development training program for West Virginia residents. Using proven curriculum from Nashville Software School, we train people with no prior coding experience, prepare them for their first tech job, and connect them with open, entry-level software development jobs here in the Mountain State. The first three months of the course focus on front-end web development-- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the JavaScript framework React. The second three months of the program focus on server-side development in C#/.NET. Students learn how to interact with databases using SQL, how to build an API, and how to build full-stack web applications in .NET Core.
