Marcel Koper has been helping professionals in a vast array of settings for 25 years. His practice, Awareness Centre, offers counselling, supervision, training and consulting and workplace support. Marcel also has experience in training and educating and critical incident management. His counselling approach is sensitive to where people are at in both their life journey and their spiritual journey. He specialises in online counselling, a service he has been offering for many years. Through counselling, people have the option to explore and deal with deeper more sensitive areas involving personal development, abuse, trauma and family of origin experiences. In all of his work he emphasizes the importance of self-care and attending to our own mental health. His work as a supervisor has been with health professionals and people involved in leadership and workplace settings. He has also been an accomplished trainer and educator in both academic settings and workplace settings. Marcel has worked in Critical Incident management support for 15 years including support after major bushfires, accidents and similar disasters. He spent 10 years of his working life working in the drug and alcohol arena and thus understands the nexus of mental health and drug and alcohol concerns.
