New York Collegiate Baseball League Founded: 1978 Associations: National Alliance of College Summer Baseball (NACSB), partially funded by MLB Regular Season Length: June 1st-July 23rd Regular Season Games: 42 Baseball: Diamond Bat: Wood or Composite Roster Limit: 35 Division Format: Eastern Division: Cortland Crush, Onondaga Flames, Rome Generals, Sherrill Silversmiths, Syracuse Spartans, Saratoga Revolution Western Division: Genesee Rapids, Hornell Dodgers, Niagara Power, Olean Oilers, Rochester Ridgemen, Wellsville Nitros Eligibility Requirements: Player must have remaining college eligibility to participate. Player must have completed at least one full year of school or have at least one year remaining. Graduating high school seniors are eligible depending on circumstances. Doubleheaders: Doubleheaders will consist of two nine-inning games. If a rain out causes a doubleheader, there will be two seven-inning games. If a resumed game is played and a second game follows, each game will consist of nine full innings. Only a rescheduled doubleheader where neither game has been previously started will consist of two seven-inning games. Playoff Teams: Six–The top three teams in the each division advance to the playoffs. Playoff Format: TBD with 2018 Schedule The first round will feature the #2 seeded team vs. #3 seeded team in each division in a one game playoff. The winners of these games will advance to the play in the Division Championship series best-of-three series against the #1 seeded team in each division in a 1-1-1 format. The winner's of those two series will play for the NYCBL Championship in a best of three series in a 1-2 format.
