New Urban Development Information

New Urban Development is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Urban League of Greater Miami. Our role is managing the development of all projects from concept, pre-development, construction, lease up, and management. New Urban is the one stop shop for all real estate development needs related to the Urban League. Currently New Urban has a number of projects in various stages of development. In late 2008 we completed a 71 unit senior housing facility, and it was 100% occupied shortly there after. This example displays our effectiveness at selecting and delivering product where it's needed most. Leveraging our strategic partnerships throughout the community has allowed us to make a difference in the provision of safe, clean, and responsible developments in neighborhoods that are desperately underserved. As a part of our mission we have taken a holistic approach to community development. The unrelenting drive to improve our neighborhoods and communities has enabled New Urban to forge sustaining relationships with local government entities. This has also allowed us to be successful in securing subordinate financial support as a part of our development financing structure. The high standards and pursuit of excellence for New Urban is supported by both its board and professional staff. Our board is reflective of the skill set required to provide leadership and direction. New Urban Development looks forward to building on the foundation that it has established in recognition of the changes in the housing market. What was once an escalating market is declining and making the need for affordable housing more prevalent than ever before, and consequently creates a strong need for New Urban Development to fill the void.
