New Rhythms For Glasgow is a community project and registered charity that delivers participatory music and arts activity in partnership with local organisations and communities with the aim of supporting social inclusion, community development and regeneration. By providing access to a wide range of expertise, facilities and resources and creating opportunities for people to engage in arts, New Rhythms For Glasgow breaks down barriers to participation, challenges negative perceptions and encourages cultural growth in the north. Our aims are: To promote community engagement in the arts and cultural life To develop accessible and fully inclusive artistic programmes for the benefit of the local community To help raise the profile of North Glasgow through cultural activities To utilise the arts as a catalyst for positive change, build people’s confidence, support the development of transferable and life skills and encourage active citizenship To advance public knowledge and encourage better understanding of cultural and diversity issues through the arts To support continued professional development and create employment opportunities within the arts To work collaboratively and invest in partnerships that support to our aims to the benefit of the local community Our Vision is that: North Glasgow is a vibrant, diverse, inclusive and culturally richer place where people want to live, work and visit.
