New Learner Information

New Learner is a site dedicated to exploring the issues surrounding teaching and learning within the global classroom. Through this site, one can examine the tremendous opportunities associated with the application of information technology to educational pursuits. It is my belief that the speed, the sophistication, and the power of the online environment presents teachers and learners with far richer educational opportunities than a conventional, non-wired classroom can provide. The New Learner project has been actively engaged in the exploration of IT in the classroom since 1996. I have learned, and I continue to learn, many valuable lessons about teaching and learning within a digitally interconnected environment. I hope that you will take the time to examine some of these lessons with me - so that in the end, you may arrive at your own conclusions about the opportunities, and the challenges, that technology has provided the new learner.
