New Horizons Disability Empowerment Center offers employment services for employees AND potential employers. Our services include, but are not limited to the following services:Do You Want to Work? Ticket to Work Program - The Ticket to Work Program provides most people receiving Social Security benefits (beneficiaries) more choices for receiving employment services. Under this program, the Social Security Administration issues tickets to eligible beneficiaries, who, in turn, may choose to assign those tickets to an Employment Network (EN) of their choice to obtain employment services, vocational rehabilitation services, or other support necessary to achieve a vocational (work) goal. The EN, if they accept the ticket, will coordinate and provide appropriate services to help the beneficiary find and maintain employment. Click here for more information...Access to Employment Networks - An EN is an organizational entity (Local, State, Public, Private) that enters into a contract with the SSA with the intention of coordinating and delivering employment services, Voc-rehab services and/or other support services under the "Ticket to Work Program. These services are provided by the EN to SSI/SSDI beneficiaries who have assigned their Tickets to the EN which has accepted the Ticket. Work Incentives Planning and Assistance Program - Are you collecting SSI or SSDI? Do you want to return to work? Our Certified Benefits Counselors can help people with disabilities who live in the 5 northern counties of Arizona achieve work goals without losing medical benefits and can also assist with benefit questions. Employment Evaluation and Training - We provide computer and other classes, budget assistance, home based business and self employment information. Plan for Achieving Self-Support (PASS) and other employment services. Employers, Do You Have Work to Offer? New Horizons takes into consideration a number of factors when determining whether to accept a ticket from a beneficiary. New Horizons' EN Coordinator performs a comprehensive review and evaluation of each candidate. Motivation, sincerity, and attitude on the part of beneficiaries are primary factors in making the decision to accept the Ticket. The EN Coordinator also considers prior work history, candidate qualifications for the occupation/industry in which employment is being sought, and if the services New Horizons offers will meet the needs of the ticket holder as well as potential employers. New Horizons offers a variety of services that seek to prepare the ticket holder in the skills needed to be successful in their job search and acquiring and maintaining meaningful employment. New Horizons will never refer a ticket holder to an employer that has not been throughly assessed in an effort to ensure a satisfactory outcome for the beneficiary and the employer.
