New Heights Charter School Information

New Heights Charter School is here to support you and your family during this COVID-19 school closure. LAUSD and New Heights Charter will remain closed for the rest of the school year, while we continue our educational programming through distance learning. As this health crisis continues, we will follow the guidance of the Department of Health, the state of California, and LAUSD. At this time, we are also planning for a Distance Learning Summer School. We will share our sign-up process in May. We know that you are juggling many responsibilities while also having your children at home during this time. All important school information can be found on our website, www.newheightscharter.org. Also, please read the robo-texts we are sending to you with information related to our school closure. If you have not received a robo-call or text from us, please make sure you OPT-IN for robo calls and texts by texting YES to 87569. Every child has been assigned a faculty or staff member to check-in with your child every day while we are closed. This "advisor" will be reaching out to you to make sure you are aware of where to find learning activities. All New Heights education programs will transition to distance learning beginning in full force on April 7th. Students can access most of the tech resources suggested below through our website: www.newheightscharter.org Additional links and resources can be found for each grade level on the website. Teachers may also send texts or emails to you with links for finding classwork for your children. We hope these resources help you continue a learning routine at home throughout the school closure. New Heights is providing the following for all our families in need: Grab and Go Food for children under the age of 18 served from our Lower Campus every day (including during Spring Break) from 7:30-10:00 and 3:30-5:00.
