New Chapter Ventures works all types of partners with a focus on faith communities. We help turn underutilized church buildings and land into thriving, community-serving spaces. Across America, roughly 100,000 churches will close in the coming decade and the closures are accelerating. Many of these congregations sit on valuable assets, buildings, land, and parking, that are increasingly empty even as their neighborhoods need housing, gathering places, and local services. We exist to help churches reimagine those assets before decline becomes terminal. Founded in 2025, NCV is a nonprofit built on a venture philanthropy model. Rather than relying on grants and donations, we provide loans, structure community-owned funds, and partner with impact investors through program-related investments. The result is capital that recycles, community wealth that compounds, and a financially sustainable path forward for churches and the communities around them. Our community-first WRITE methodology starts with the voices and needs of the surrounding neighborhood, not just the building or the congregation. We walk churches through the entire journey, from first conversation to ribbon cutting, including help securing funding. It is an end-to-end process no one else offers.
