Nevada Opera Association has thrived in Reno for over forty years. Founders Ted and Deena Puffer account for a great deal of our success. The commitment and connections they brought to Reno in 1968 enabled this fledgling company to soar to great heights in its early years. Ted and Deena Puffer's work lives on: dozens of their opera translations are still in use today and singers they trained, including Dolora Zajick and Evelyn de la Rosa, perform on stages around the globe. Talented artists, musicians and production crew members come together to stage larger than life stories set to breath-taking music. An equally committed board of directors, office staff and crew of volunteers handles the business side of the house.
