Neuron Robotics, LLC makes the teaching of robotics from High School up through College easier, more efficient and effective by providing its patented/copyrighted 'Curriculum-in-a-Box'. Founded in 2008 by three engineering graduates from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, they set about radically changing how you design and build robots. They achieved this in 2010 when they formally launched the company to coincide with their introduction of two hugely important and revolutionary products. The first was their software platform that contained a patented process control architecture that in 2012 served as the foundation for ground breaking research technology in the field of MRI compatible robotic brain surgery. The second paradigm shift occured upon the release of their new hardware - called the DyIO, standing for 'Dynamic Input/Output', this computer peripheral device, connected by USB, with a Bluetooth version coming soon, literally allows the computer to become the robot. Its copyrighted 'hierarchical distributed processing control' capabilities, along with allowing users to write instructions in Java versus having to learn programming language, is why it is so versatile, scalable, affordable and easy to use.
