Pioneer-Matrix was formed in 2010, when Pioneer Oil LLC of Billings and Matrix Supply and Distribution of Hong Kong, joint-ventured to provide a single-source supplier of ceramic proppant. Matrix Supply was a recognized producer of ceramic proppant, with a proven track record and Pioneer Oil had a logistical network in place that could supply the product directly to the Bakken. Together, they formed a complete supply network that customers came to trust to produce, transport and deliver high performance TG proppant. Few people outside of McKenzie County have heard of this tiny town, but it has two things that make it an excellent staging site: it’s central to the Bakken and it’s served directly by the BNSF railroad. Also, because of the size of the warehouse, PMX can stage a large inventory in the region while keeping it protected from the elements. - We offer our customers an “over-the-counter” solution for buying TG proppant. - PMX’s structure is streamlined and nonhierarchical.
