Nelson Christian Community School Information

At Nelson Christian Community School we take our mission to heart. While we are a small independent school, we strive to achieve excellence. Our programs are geared to help students grow not only in their academics, but also in their faith in Jesus. There are 3 parts to our mission: Christ-Like Character: At NCCS, we focus on students growing in their character. Students are given opportunities to learn about Christ and the example that He set for us. Using Jesus as our lens, students then begin to discover how to solve problems, solve conflicts, relate to others and share with others. Service: At NCCS, we give students opportunities to reach out to the local, national and global communities in service. Opportunities can be as simple as raking a neighbour's lawn to supporting a community in another country. Working together as a class, students see the importance of thinking beyond them to the impact that service can have. Academic Excellence. As a small school we have the benefit of small class sizes and individualized attention. Students who need additional support or additional challenge are able to receive it. Our programs provide flexibility where students can choose options in taking more of the specialty classes that they excel in.
