NEIGHBOURHOOD Films Information

Established in 2014, NEIGHBOURHOOD is a Melbourne-based film production company dedicated to and passionate about creating authentic, story-driven work. In between writing, producing and executing our own films and web series, we produce original content spanning branded content, TVC, web series, music videos and more for clients of all types. In 2015 we launched our first web series, HOOD FOOD GUIDE, supported by Visit Victoria, receiving Best Australian Non-Fiction Web Series and Best Editing of a Web Series nominations at Melb Web Fest 2016. As of Jan 1, 2018, HOOD FOOD GUIDE is now viewable on all Virgin Australia flights throughout Australia with a supporting Australia-wide food video app soon-to-be-released. Our first short film, ‘Maalu’ (shot on location in Sri Lanka 2014), screened at a number of the international festivals including Melbourne International Film Festival, Palm Springs International ShortFest and Miami International Film Festival. NEIGHBOURHOOD was founded by Sanjay De Silva, Barun Chatterjee and Tom Nijam.
