Communities thrive when people can connect. After 9/11, living in Tribeca, I was struck by how neighbors had no way to communicate online. In 2007, I bootstrapped neighborbee to change that - before anyone was doing it at scale. Facebook had just 50M users. This wasn’t just a startup. It was my life’s work. I left a cushy tech sales job, rallied a cofounder, 25 Fordham interns, and our “Buzz Team,” signing up businesses door-to-door. The energy was real. The platform never launched - the tech wasn’t there, and I wasn’t fully myself, unknowingly living with MS. But I never let go. Now, with Digital Magic CRM powering my Tech Sales Agency, it also powers micro-communities.. the hive is getting ready to finally thrive. 🐝
