The Needham Police Union was formed with an emphasis on supporting local programs and giving back to the community. While 2020 has been an unprecedented year, the Needham Police Union has continued its efforts to be an important part of the community. We want to assure you, the community we serve, that the Needham Police Union and its members always strive to provide the highest level of professionalism and community engagement. We are committed to helping to keep the Town of Needham a safe and desirable place to live, work and visit. We continue to partner with the residents, businesses and groups within the community to solve problems and improve public safety in a manner that is consistent, fair and transparent. The Needham Police Union continues to donate to numerous charities, contribute to local organizations and sponsor many functions, which include, but are not limited to: The Jimmy Fund, Needham Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast, Needham Girls Basketball, Sloan Kittering Cancer Fund, Needham Senior Dinner, The Walker School Holiday Party, Needham Powderpuff Football, Friends of Needham Hockey, Needham Fire Department Union, Admiral Gracey Memorial Plaque, Cops for Kids with Cancer, Haymakers for Hope Marathon Team, Needham High School Student Body and the Chaulk Family Medical Fund. The Needham Police Union is also proud to recognize Alyssa Ram as this year's recipient of our annual Needham Police Union Scholarship. We're also proud to recognize Jamie O'Neil as this year's recipient of the Needham Police Union Anti-Bullying Scholarship. Also, newly created this year is the Dave Dicicco Golden Heart Award.
