Nederlandse Wereldwijde Studenten (Netherlands Worldwide Students – NWS) is the platform for Dutch students pursuing, wishing to pursue or having completed a full degree abroad. NWS was founded in 2007 with the aim of improving information for ambitious students in secondary and higher education wishing to study outside the Netherlands as well as to provide information on career possibilities in the Netherlands. Future 'expats' can use the NWS network to get in touch with people who have gone before them. This enables them to get information about courses, universities, countries, student life, admissions, housing, etc. Besides an international network, NWS has a number of local clubs. These NWS Clubs help new students settle and organise public lectures, employer-led workshops and social events. Currently, there are NWS Clubs in over a dozen cities, including London, Barcelona, Seoul and Beijing. The annual NWS-Day in The Hague is an opportunity for students to meet each other and exchange experiences and information. The partners of NWS facilitate workshops and thus give NWS students an overview of some of the career possibilities in the Netherlands.
