Every Neckshack has its own story. Having been produced by an Anatolian woman, every hand-knitted piece of garment, which is idiomatically called as “el emeği göz nuru” in Turkish (which may literally be translated as ‘the product of eye-straining hand-laboured work’), is embellished by the diversity of designs and motifs particular to the region where the woman lives. Some regionally appreciated patterns, designs and motifs which have become prevalent throughout the years have started to come up in various Anatolian regions; yet knitting has always been, traditionally, a single woman’s piece of work distinctively enriched by the personal nuances of the knitter herself, bearing some previously worked up designs, as well.Hence, an original hand knitted garment bears particular diversity and stories behind it. Neckshack handicraft products are being knitted by the Anatolian women who have proved to have the required knitting skills, who wish to contribute to their family budgets, and who volunteer to venture the “eye-straining hand-laboured work”. Each model - to be at your service - is processed using different types of yarns in various colours plus the personal gusto and skills of the knitter woman. Neckshack knitwear has no seams, as the serially manufactured products have, for each garment is being knitted using special knitting needles.
