In 2005, the state organization for the Iowa Public Schools Foundation became the National Schools Foundation Association, Inc. [NSFA], a 501(C)3 charitable organization. This group of concerned Iowa education foundation leaders had the vision to expand their work in supporting educations foundations across the nation. Over the 16-year existence of NSFA, we tried to be “all things to all people”, without the solid infrastructure or the full resources of time, talent, and funds. In April 2021, the National Association of Education Foundations, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Virginia as a 501(c)(6) organization. Now, the National Association of Education Foundations, Inc. will be the organization to lead the charge to support foundation leaders and provide resources to strengthen the industry. This new membership organization will provide webinars, forums, conferences, newsletters, resources, surveys, training, and consulting programs, along with the national standard for certification of education foundation leaders. NSFA will remain as the charitable organization and will focus on grants, donations, scholarships, and charitable endeavors of our industry. Through the collaborative effort of these two organizations, the National Association of Education Foundations, Inc. and the National Schools Foundation Association, Inc., efforts will properly elevate and promote the industry, as well as provide support to you, your organization, and the countless number of professionals who work tirelessly on behalf of education systems across the United States of America.

This year we Celebrate our 50th anniveresary! The VENTURA COUNTY ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY, INCORPORATED, is a non-profit Education/Research Association registered in accordance with both state and federal law as a 501 (c) 3 entity. The mission of VCAS is to inform and educate Ventura County residents about astronomy and to promote interest in, and encourage participation in, astronomy as a hobby.. PLEASE READ THIS ANNOUNCEMENT ON ANNUAL DUES: VCAS will return to the Moorpark College Forum on September 17th. HOWEVER, were required to perform Contact Tracing until further notice. While this restriction is in place only VCAS members will be allowed to attend in-person. Please pay your annual dues before July 15th. This is the deadline for Astronomical League membership, and we dont want you to miss an issue of The Reflector Magazine. You still have the same amount of time on the clock as you did when we froze all timers on March 01, 2020. Well restart the clock on your annual membership September 1st so just relax and enjoy. Its been a difficult journey for many and its almost over. Although astronomy hasnt been our primary focus public interest in astronomy grew by incredible proportions. Lets keep that going.
