Fore Women was founded in 1909, under the name National Council of Jewish Women Los Angeles. Fore Women helps women build financial stability, economic mobility and long-term opportunity. Through direct financial support, workforce development, career coaching and advocacy, the organization serves more than 2,500 individuals and families each year. The Council Shop (soon to be Fore Goods) is a vital part of our mission, providing workplace training and employment opportunities, offering affordable goods without sales tax, and generating revenue that helps fund innovative programs supporting women and families.
