Nautigen Information

Nautigen is a blue biotechnology startup focused on sustainable bioprospecting and biodiversity exploration of the rare microbial biome in extreme marine ecosystems. Through partnerships and collaboration, the R&D project will develop innovative tools and utilize cost-efficient techniques to rapidly detect, map, characterize, and catalog the deep marine microbiome. Nautigen focuses on the biodiscovery of marine bioactive molecules from cold seeps, hydrothermal vents, seamounts, and abyssal seafloor settings that are potentially commercially exploited for natural resources. Using non-invasive emerging advanced biomolecular and remote sensing technologies, the biodiversity of marine extremophiles is visualized using digital twin technology, and the biotechnological potential of novel bioactive molecules is evaluated in real-time and in situ in unexplored deep, complex benthic environments for transparent drug discovery pipelines and sustainable pharmaceutical applications within the emerging Blue Economy.
