Natrium is a medical device startup developing a wearable biosensor patch that continuously monitors sodium in real time. Hyponatremia is the most common electrolyte disorder in hospitalized patients, affecting roughly 35% of admissions and carrying a significant increase in in-hospital mortality risk. Yet clinicians still rely on episodic blood draws, creating dangerous gaps in visibility and missing the trends and rate-of-change that matter most for early intervention. Natrium replaces episodic lab draws with continuous, passive, pain-free sodium monitoring. Real-time readings stream securely to a phone or computer, giving clinicians the trend data a single lab value can't. Our sensor is patent-pending. The founding team combines ex-McKinsey strategy (CEO) and biosensor engineering (CTO), with a clear regulatory strategy and a planned path to FDA clearance. Follow along as we build the first continuous sodium monitor. 🧂
