For more than 20 years Native Workplace has been in the forefront of emerging industries and solutions for tribal communities. Cristala Mussato-Allen (Caddo) founded the organization and serves as the Executive Director. NWP has provided workshops and seminars for several Federal agencies such as the Department of Interior Office of Indian Energy & Economic Development (OIEED), Department of Labor, California Indian Manpower, and Department of Energy Tribal Energy Program, the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED, National Tribal Employment Rights Council (TERO) and the National Wildlife Federation. Additional work includes contracts from the Department of Interior BIA workforce development, Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe Housing and OST Renewable Energy Program among others. *2000-2015 Past Performance includes several Federal agencies and community organizations funded by Federal funding. The government is not allowing these agencies/entities to engage in the cannabis industry and none of our contracts with them after 2015 were Hemp & Cannabis oriented except presenting at NCAIED-RES 2019. NWP launched our effort by hosting the first in the nation Tribal Hemp & Cannabis Summit at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, NM April 2015. We followed this with the first tribal tracks held at any National Cannabis Summit. NWP has created content, events, presented at national conferences nationwide, and has been interviewed by a variety of media oulets via radio, TV, podcast. In addition to community education and feasibility studies, we are also experienced in tribal planning, workforce development, federal contracting and grant writing .
