The National Energy Board is Canada’s national energy regulator. We oversee safety for the full life cycle of an energy infrastructure project – from approval to construction to operation to abandonment. We work with communities, sharing the goal of making the infrastructure we regulate as safe as it can be. We care. And we have a passion for public service and a commitment to fairness and doing the right thing. Whether we are managing complex public hearings, recruiting talented new employees, or conducting inspections, we are guided by our three strategic priorities: • We take action on Safety • We engage with Canadians • We lead Regulatory Excellence We are proud of our work and believe we make a difference in keeping Canada’s energy infrastructure safe and reliable.
