Nathan Sargent Company Information

Nathan Sargent Company is a design partnership started by Sandra Lannan in 2006. After almost 20 years of professional experience, Sandra left her position as Senior Interior Designer at an award winning Boston architecture firm. Motivated by a recent cultural fellowship in MIlan, Italy, Sandra wanted to design differently and engage clients more directly. Nathan Sargent Company is founded on a model of honesty and service. Their role as designers is to make manifest the aesthetic of their clients, not force concepts and designs upon them. Nathan Sargent Company considers a project successful when the Client - Designer relationship transcends the project into friendship and mutual admiration. In 2008, Sandra's husband Jon Lannan joined Nathan Sargent Company after leaving a senior position at a large Cambridge, Massachusetts architecture firm. Jon has a diverse background in design and construction having spent the last 10 years directing massive mixed use and corporate projects with a particular emphasis on sustainable, "green" design. With over 25 years experience, the creation of buildings is all Jon has ever really known, until Italy. For the last 8 years Jon has held the distinction of Staff Architect for Poggio Civitate Etruscan Excavation in Murlo, Italy (Tuscany, just south of Siena). His summers are devoted to volunteering on the "dig," and learning to be Toscano. They visit Europe regularly as students of design, but also of lifestyle. Nathan Sargent brings their continued exposure to both classical and contemporary European design to their work. Jon & Sandra are firm believers in environmental stewardship and offer LEED Consulting as part of their practice. Their commitment to client's goals, combined with knowledge of currents in European design and sustainable materials makes Nathan Sargent Company uniquely qualified to deliver beautifully tailored, environmentally sensitive projects.
