NASW Virginia Information

The Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers is a professional social work organization that helps its nearly 3,000 social workers achieve the highest standards of ethical practice in the Commonwealth by --Advocating and supporting public policies and legislative efforts that further the profession of social work and embrace the diversity of human need. --Promoting the core professional value of recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of each individual. --Endorsing and advancing the NASW Code of Ethics, as well as a professional social work identity and presence. --Connecting, educating, and defining standards to enhance professional practice. --Assessing and addressing trends and issues related to the profession and clients.
