Nassau Hose Co Information

We support our neighboring fire departments in all types of mutual aid calls. We also receive mutual aid support from our neighboring fire departments for incidents in the Village of Nassau. Our neighboring fire departments include but are not limited to East Schodack, Schodack Valley, Tsatsawassa, North Chatham, and Hoags Corners. The Nassau Hose Co. No. 1 consists of 38 active volunteer members. Nine of our 38 members are certified EMTs. Calls consist of motor vehicle accidents, EMS calls, fire and CO2 alarm activations, brush, structure and vehicle fires, ice water rescue, and various mutual aid calls. We have certified ice water rescue technicians and our team is trained in various aspects of ice water rescue scene support. Our fire fighters and EMTs are supported by four pieces of firefighting apparatus. We are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
