Narconon Vista Bay is a non-religious, nonprofit drug rehabilitation and prevention organization dedicated to eliminating drug abuse and drug addiction, restoring lives and reuniting families. Our program offers comprehensive drug rehabilitation, drug education and addiction prevention services. The Narconon program has helped hundreds of thousands of addicts to rid themselves of drug and alcohol addiction. The unique Narconon Vista Bay rehabilitation approach emphasizes all aspects of drug addiction: the physical, mental and emotional factors, as well as life skills which are crucial to remaining drug-free and happy for the long term. Whether a person is genetically or bio-chemically predisposed to addiction or alcoholism is a controversy that has been debated for decades within the scientific, medical and addiction treatment community. One school of thought advocates the “disease concept,” which embraces the notion that addiction is an inherited disease, and that the individual is permanently ill at a genetic level, even for those experiencing long periods of sobriety. At Narconon Vista Bay, we believe that addiction is not a disease.
