Nantucket Atheneum is Nantucket's free public library housed in a historic 1847 building and part of the CLAMS network of Cape Cod libraries offering over 1.4 million books, CDs and DVDs, and programs for all ages. We are open year-round, 6 days a week, and offer a warm and welcoming place for all community members to gather and connect. We are Nantucket’s free public library and gathering place, transforming lives with resources and experiences that support lifelong learning for all.
