Nano Textile is an Israeli start-up company presenting a breakthrough and patented single-step nano-coating process. Our main mission is to provide the first ever Anti-bacterial coating technology that can answer to the harsh demands of the Hospital sector in terms of anti-bacterial durability, production versatility, safety and cost efficiency. Our unique technology was invented by prof. Aharon Gedanken of the chemistry department at Bar-Ilan University in Israel along with Dr. Ilana Perelshtein. The entire R&D phase was funded by the FP7 (EU framework program for the research and innovation), with €12 million investment. The IP protected process involves embedding Zinc oxide nano-particles into the fabrics, in order to turn them into 100% antibacterial. Those particles are permanently embedded to the fabric, thus providing a safe customer use of the end product and extreme durability of the anti-bacterial properties. 2 independent research institutes (Coventry University and ATEX) found the treated fabric to remain 100% anti-baterail even after 65 at 92 degrees celsius and 100 washing cycles at 75 degrees celsius.
