Nankind Information

Nankind is a registered Canadian charity transforming the lives of families facing parental cancer. When a parent is diagnosed, the whole family is affected, and no one should have to choose between their own care and their children’s wellbeing. We provide free, specialized childcare, nutritious meal support, and counselling that reduce the social and emotional impact of cancer on families. Throughout a parent’s cancer journey, from diagnosis through bereavement, Nankind helps children build lifelong emotional resilience through age-appropriate, therapeutic, and peer-based support, while giving parents time to rest and focus on treatment, knowing their children are cared for and supported. Our Volunteer Angels and family team deliver free virtual programs across Ontario and in-home programs and prepared meal deliveries to families across Southern Ontario, including the Greater Toronto Area, Barrie, Hamilton, and Kingston.
