NAMISAT Information

NAMISAT focuses on space systems engineering products and services, specifically targeted at nano- and microsatellite solutions. The Norwegian company is a spinoff from S[&]T Corporation (located in Delft, The Netherlands). The main product of NAMISAT is SCALES (Satellite Conceptual Analysis tooL for Engineering Solutions). SCALES is a conceptual design tool for nano- and microsatellites, originally developed at Delft University of Technology in 2008/2009. Compared to other design tools already existing on the market, SCALES' unique design solutions are specifically targeted at satellites between 1 and 50 kg. Calculations are done for a complete satellite system, using design estimation relationship specifically developed for this lower mass range of satellites. The data used for making these new estimation relationships are extracted out of our two databases: 1) Nano- and Microsatellite Database, and 2) Satellite Subsystem & Component Database. Other products and services offered by NAMISAT include: - Statistical queries, plots and lists of vendors, retrieved from the two databases - Educational outreach products & services - Consultancy services One of our first projects: + Funded by the Norwegian Research Council, S[&]T is together with NAROM building an educational software tool to promote the direct usefulness of secondary and upper secondary school science courses in solving real engineering tasks.
