Otakuthon is Quebec’s largest fan-run festival promoting Japanese animation (anime), Japanese graphic novels (manga), related gaming and Japanese pop-culture. It is a non-profit organization that is a part of the Quebec Anime Committee. It is held annually for 3 days in Montreal during a weekend in the summer months.
Anime North is a fan-run convention for fans of Japanese animation, comics, and other forms of media. Founded in 1998 and located in Toronto, Ontario, the convention has grown from a one-day event of several hundred people, to three days and 15,000 attendees each year.
Katsucon Entertainment, Inc. is a non-profit corporation dedicated to educating the public as to all aspects of the art of animation and to increase the level of awareness and appreciation of animation among adults as well as children. Among other endeavors, KEI plans, organizes, and conducts Katsucon, a 3-day annual fan convention for multicultural enthusiasts and entertainment held in or around Washington D.C.
