n-Tec AS is a Norwegian company incorporated in 2001 as a subsidiary of Scatec AS. Since 2005 the company has been producing a new class of materials called arc-discharge multiwall carbon nanotubes (CNT). Arc-discharge CNT are far superior to the more common Catalyst Vapour Deposition (CVD) type CNT, and is the strongest material known to man. n-Tec has developed a scalable and automated process for its production. n-Tec has extensive competance in the use of CNT in various materials, and is working with several large partners in developing new applications. Current projects involve mechanical improvement of polymers, new aerospace materials, and de-icing solutions for wind-turbines and aerospace applications.
