MyCare Global is a venture founded in 1996 by Mark Grossman. Mr. Mark Grossman began his health informatics career in 1987 designing and developing applications for medical coding. In 1996 Mr. Grossman worked on a NIH telemedicine grant project demonstrating the effectiveness and benefits of connectivity through remote monitoring of patient information by healthcare providers. The research project was successful and has been the model followed since by many commercial ventures entering that telemedicine space. Mr. Grossman began to work to identify and then to define the fundamental needs in the healthcare environment. That work has culminated in MyCare Global. HealthZone is a new venture of MyCare Global. MyCare Global has been in existence since November of 1996. It has a successful history of developing and selling medical application software to the healthcare industry. MyCare Global has a growing share of the healthcare IT and physician service marketplace. MyCare Global is utilizing its access to the medical sector to leverage HealthZone as a leader in the area of provisioning nutritional management in the fight against clinical disease states. HealthZone is an enterprise of ideas and execution. HealthZone will build on the smart thinking and traditional business models utilized by MyCare Global. HealthZone has a large market opportunity, a strong management team, and a proprietary delivery vehicle for nutritional information as well as a compelling value proposition. HealthZone was conceived in 1998. A partnership between MyCare Global and Cara Hogue was formed. A study of the market opportunity and business strategy was implemented. Ms. Hogue undertook the task of researching and compiling the medical information and scientific knowledge available in the domain. A plan was formulated to convert this effort into a commercial venture. At present the venture has be launched.
