My Choice Programs, Inc. is dedicated to assisting and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to participate fully and meaningfully in, and contribute to, their communities as valued members. My Choice Programs conducts itself according to the following guiding core values: we promote the rights of people with developmental disabilities to exercise choice and make meaningful decisions; we respect the dignity of each individual, their human and civil rights, keeping people free from abuse and neglect; we ensure that services and resources are flexible, adequate, non-intrusive, cost effective and are provided by qualified staff who meet individuals needs and preferences; we encourage individuals and families to speak out for themselves and others, to initiate ideas, and make choices and decisions about needed supports; we recognize that ethnic, cultural and religious diversity of each individual must be valued and respected; we enhance public awareness of people with developmental disabilities and their roles in society through physical and social integration; we support and encourage people to strive for personal goals and make informed decisions; and we recognize that realizing one’s potential takes courage, skills and support.
