Founded in 1769, Semmelweis University is a leading institution of higher education in Hungary and the region in the field of medicine and health sciences and a top performer in international rankings. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026, we have been listed among the world’s top 200 higher education institutions in the Medical and Health subject area, ranking highest in the Central and Eastern European region. As a recognized knowledge hub with over 14,000 employees and more than 200 international partners, our mission is to integrate education, research, and healthcare. At our six faculties and five international campuses, we offer Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees as well as vocational training programs and conferences in Hungarian, English, and German. As the largest healthcare service provider in Hungary, our university hospitals and clinics deliver care for approximately 10 percent of patients in Hungary. Its academic legacy includes Nobel Prize laureates such as Albert Szent-Györgyi (1937), who isolated Vitamin C in Szeged, and Katalin Karikó (2023), whose research contributed to mRNA vaccine development. BME College for Advanced Management Studies is a non-profit organization that enables its members to acquire leadership and management skills and apply management theories into practice to gain valuable experience. Our goal is to provide quality services to our members and all students from any universities in Budapest and thus contribute to their professional and personal development within an inspiring community. We believe that this knowledge will not only provide solid foundations to their careers but also to their success in life.
