We are one of the biggest and busiest Trusts in the country, providing care for 1 million people and acting as a specialist referral centre for millions more.
#TeamKing’s is Kind and Respectful, delivering the best for our patients. Our Strong Roots, Global Reach 2021-2026 strategy commits us to being a BOLD organisation bit.ly/3kaDN3a.
We are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, a large acute hospital trust in the south east of England. We provide a full range of general hospital services and some aspects of specialist and complex care to around 600,000 people living in west Kent and East Sussex. We have a team of over 8,000 full and part-time staff, and also provide specialist cancer services to around 2 million people across Kent and East Sussex via the Kent Oncology Centre.
Our core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We operate from three main clinical sites: Fordcombe Hospital, Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, which provides wholly single bed en-suite accommodation for inpatients.
Against a backdrop of increasing demand for services, the dedication and innovation of colleagues has enabled us to become one of the top performing trusts in the country. Regularly in the top five in England for emergency department performance, we rapidly reduced the number of long patients waiting for elective surgery and have delivered the national cancer standard for almost five years.
While improving performance and ensuring our patients receive high quality timely care we have listened to colleagues and worked hard to both support and grow our workforce. Staff feedback in the national NHS Staff Survey has ranked us as one of the top ten hospital trusts in the country – and the second best in the south east – to work for.
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust provides wide-ranging NHS care for people, in their community, in a range of settings including people's own homes, nursing homes, clinics, community hospitals and mobile units.
We are one of the largest NHS community health providers in England, serving a population of more than 1.4 million. We employ about 5,500 staff, including community nurses, therapists, doctors, pharmacists, dentists and many other healthcare professionals.
We operate community health services across Kent and Medway, parts of East Sussex and London.
We were formed on 1 April 2011 from the merger of Eastern and Coastal Kent Community Services NHS Trust and West Kent Community Health.
