He was the vice president of Makeblock which are the robotic company, and the CEO of Shenzhen Open Innovation Laboratory, who are the first introduced MIT Fablab into China. He has been engaged in hardware entrepreneurship for long time and he also very obsessed with the brain neural network cognition, that’s the reason why he focus on AI, because many algorithms of AI are just the way to simulate the human brain. His partner Gary is a R&D engineer of one famous listed company AAC Technology. His years of working experience in loudspeaker and microphone make the company rapid progress in R&D field. The first product Mutrics originated from the word Music+trope+sunglasses, which was invented by Vanness himself. It was inspired by word: Entropy. He believed that entropy was a concept to describ the disordered state of energy. It coincided with the underlying logic of the smart glasses he was making. Artificial intelligence technology and modern technology essentially deal with information, including speech, text and music. A form of expression. Entropy, a word comes from the combination of energy and trope, so Vanness installed the same logic and gave his new species such a special name. Mutrics smart glasses are a new species between headphones and speakers. They do not pose security risks due to the closure of headphones in mobile scenarios, nor as bulky as speakers. According to the exponential inverse relationship between sound attenuation and distance, far-field microphone arrays have natural bottlenecks in accuracy and cost, and are not suitable for mobile scenarios.
