Musical Youth Foundation (CHY#18624) Information

The Musical Youth Foundation (MYF) is a registered children’s charity (CHY#18624) formally established in 2009 and Revenue approved for donations under Section 848A Taxes Consolidation Act 1997. Our mission is simple, “to provide every child on the island of Ireland with access to a musical education.” We opperate specialist music education programmes including “guitars for kids” and "sing school" in local Community Centres and Schools. We provide instruments, weekly tuition, practise sessions and supporting workshops in live performance, singing and song-writing. The benefits of music education go way beyond the actual lessons themselves by helping to build a child’s confidence, concentration, and co-ordination and teaching them the value of patience and perseverance. Aside from being a very satisfying hobby music education is known to help improve a child’s performance in the classroom outside of music education itself.
