Murmuration Information

Murmuration is an integrated performance company based in Sydney, Australia. We work closely with a collective of multi-disciplinary artists dedicated to creating innovative contemporary theatre. The artist's disciplines span across dance, theatre, music, scenic and costume design, digital media and film. Based at Addison Road Community Centre, Marrickville, our annual program is made up of creative developments with professional artists, inclusive dance theatre workshops, community events and public performances. We foster artistic vibrancy and life-long learning by providing professional and community arts development. We do this through two streams; making and learning. The Making stream supports professional arts practice, through the research and development of new contemporary theatre works. The Learning stream is open to all people to participate in the performing arts through workshops, outreach and events. Both streams provide opportunities for creation, participation, observation, and conversation. Murmuration is committed to diversity and aims to create an environment that values and utilises the contribution of its people from different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
