The Brand Story You Didn’t Know You Needed (But You Absolutely Do)
Once upon a time (around 2017), a couple of brave souls decided the world needed a new kind of happiness. Sure, there’s world peace and ending hunger, but have you ever just sat down with a spoon and some cookie dough? Not the kind your mom told you not to eat, but the kind that makes you feel like you’ve won the emotional lottery, minus the salmonella.
We tried to resist. We really did. But let’s be honest, resisting cookie dough is like trying to outrun a treadmill—it’s exhausting, pointless, and you end up with cookie dough anyway. So we embraced it. And thus, Cookie Dough Bliss was born. Because you deserve dessert that loves you back.
Fast forward to today, we’re franchising this magical experience across the land. We’re not just here to sell cookie dough, we’re here to make bad days better, to celebrate the fact that you don’t need a reason to eat cookie dough, and to remind you that life’s too short for the “I’ll start my diet on Monday” nonsense. Spoiler alert: Monday never comes.
We’re not heroes. But if someone wants to start calling us that, we won’t stop you.
New York City-based DOUGHNUT PLANT is the pioneer of the artisanal doughnut. Created in 1994 by Mark Isreal, inspired by his grandfather’s recipe, Doughnut Plant handcrafts original and innovative doughnuts from the finest ingredients.
We pride ourselves on originality, using the highest quality all natural ingredients and making everything in-house from scratch — glazes, fillings, jams and toppings — even our sourdough starter. We make our own 100% natural wild yeast starter to create our first doughnuts made with no commercial yeast. The method is popularly known as sourdough, but this implies a process, not taste. When the process is followed properly, the taste does not have to be sour.
At Doughnut Plant, natural simply means food made using authentic ingredients and methods. Real ingredients. No preservatives, no artificial flavorings and no eggs -- ever! (Not even in our cake doughnuts or cream fillings).
Same passion for our coffee, too! Doughnut Plant Coffee: Handcrafted, small batch roasted in Brooklyn. We source, roast and deliver delicious coffee that pairs perfectly with our doughnuts.
Yeast, cake, sourdough, vegan, gluten free. A doughnut for everyone.
