Multisensory Experience Lab (MELab) is dedicated to the design, study, and development of multisensory interactive experiences that combine sound, vision, touch, movement, and emerging AI technologies. MELab operates at the intersection of science, technology, art, and human experience, creating solutions that enhance perception, accessibility, learning, health, and human–technology interaction. MELab develops advanced methods and tools for multisensory modeling, spatial audio, extended reality (XR) and inclusive digital environments. We are grounded in rigorous scientific research while remaining strongly oriented toward real-world applications in areas such as healthcare, rehabilitation, education, culture, creative industries, and industrial training. A core mission of MELab is to make technology more human-centred, inclusive, and perceptually meaningful. The lab places strong emphasis on accessibility, personalization, and ethical design, ensuring that digital experiences can adapt to diverse sensory abilities, cognitive profiles, and cultural contexts. MELab actively explores how AI can support, rather than replace, human perception, creativity, and embodied interaction. MELab collaborates with universities, hospitals, industry partners, cultural institutions, and international research consortia. Its activities include applied research, prototype development, experimental platforms, user studies, and technology transfer. Through these activities, MELab contributes to shaping future digital ecosystems where multisensory experience becomes a central design principle rather than a secondary feature. We also support education and knowledge dissemination through workshops, public engagement, scientific publications, and interdisciplinary collaborations, fostering a new generation of researchers and designers in multisensory computing.
