Multicultural Learning Center Information

MLC’s vision is centered around equity and diversity in public education and the strong belief that schools have the potential and power to not only meet the needs of the families it serves but to impact the community in which it resides and the world beyond its borders. Through the work of the K-8 public charter school, MLC is an institution for social justice and change impacting the Los Angeles community by growing citizens who are are: curious and knowledgeable of the local community and world in which we live; able to recognize different perspectives and points of view; confident to communicate ideas in two languages to diverse audiences; and committed to take action against injustice. MLC is also unifying the community as our graduates become adults with self- and social-awareness and the knowledge, compassion, and experience to live and work with people from diverse backgrounds.
