The mission of the Ms. Wheelchair USA Pageant is promoting glamour, self-confidence, and community service...Celebrating the achievements of women with disabilities. The pageant world boasts more than 3,800 pageant competitions... only two are for women with mobility issues. Ms. Wheelchair USA is very different than the others. Ms. Wheelchair USA is the only one that features a live telecast and full scale show and production featuring the contestants. Ms. Wheelchair USA recognizes that all women, despite any disability, can be beautiful, feel glamorous, and be self confident. These women are exciting, and can contribute to the betterment of our families, community, and country. Ms. Wheelchair USA was founded more than 15 years ago as a state contest that was held in Ohio. The competition was so successful, others came from all over the country to watch the competition, and encourage its expansion. With their support the national contest was born and has crowned five national winners so far! Ms. Wheelchair USA is an independent program and is in no way related to any other pageant organization of any type. The Ms. Wheelchair USA program is presented by The Dane Foundation, a 501C3, tax deductible organization.
